Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

We accept credit card payment. Order by fax and payment by cheque option are available. Your order can only be accepted if you are over 18 years of age and the delivery is to an address in the UK. We cannot deliver to PO boxes.

We accept Switch, MasterCard, Visa, Eurocard, American Express, Delta Visa Electron, Laser, Solo and JCB. We also use Paypal.

Substitute products. We never substitute products and will always deliver the exact bottle that you have ordered.

Sale contract. This contract to purchase goods on this site is conditional on the product being shipped.

Condition of bottles. All our bottles are stored in ideal temperature controlled conditions. Some bottles due to their age may have labels that are wine stained, torn or faded. If you are not happy with your purchase return it for as full refund.

Shipping And Handling

Orders can be delivered to most International Countries [see the drop down menu in the checkout for places and prices.] If you require next day UK delivery, orders must be received by 1630. All next day orders incur an additional £6.99 delivery charge. We can deliver on any specific day, just notify us in the delivery instructions box. Please try and specify an address where the recipient will be present (office, neighbour, etc). Delivery prices include full insurance cover, postage and packing and VAT. We also offer a special UK Saturday delivery service that ensures delivery before noon. The cost of this service is £19.99. Delivery is free on our five day service for any orders over £39.98.

Delivery Schedule

Our couriers standard delivery is Monday to Friday 0930 -- 1730. They operate a premium rate Saturday AM service. They do not deliver on Sundays or Bank Holidays. If you are not available to receive a delivery, a card is left with contact details. One more drop is attempted at a convenient requested day. If the delivery is again unsuccessful an additional charge is made. Our couriers will not deliver to anyone who is under 18 and proof of age (Portman card etc) may be required. We do not deliver to PO box numbers.

DELIVERY SCHEDULE

Next day orders placed on:

Monday before 1630 are delivered on Tuesday.
Monday after 1630 are delivered on Wednesday.

Tuesday before 1630 are delivered on Wednesday.
Tuesday after 1630 are delivered on Thursday.

Wednesday before 1630 are delivered on Thursday.
Wednesday after 1630 are delivered on Friday.

Thursday before 1630 are delivered on Friday.
Thursday after 1630 are delivered on Monday.

Friday before 1630 are delivered on Monday.
Friday after 1630 are delivered on Tuesday.

Saturday and Sunday are delivered on Tuesday.

Back Orders

We operater a real time stock order system. All bottles displayed on our site are in stock. If an item is not in stock the words "Currently unavailable" will be displayed.

Tax Charges

We operate under the global accounting scheme and Vat is not payable on any bottle purchases.

Credit Card Security

All credit card transactions are carried out through the Royal Bank of Scotland Worldpay site using SSL technology. This is a totally secure site. You can fax your credit card details or send a cheque for peace of mind.

Guarantee

We guarantee your total satisfaction. All our products are covered by a 30 day price promise. If you find the identical bottle cheaper within 30 days of purchase we will refund the difference. The offer must be a genuine offer with the stock available to ship and you must deduct £10 off the cost of our product for the wooden box and silk liner.

Money back guarantee. If you are unhappy with the product for any reason just return it, in its original packaging, within 90 days for a full refund or replacement. Should the wine be corked return the bottle for a full credit.

Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds if the wine has been purchased by a company or individual in the wine trade.

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. Care must be taken when opening all bottles, so as to prevent injury or damage. Vintageportgifts.co.uk has product/public liability insurance to the value of £2,000,000.
